Mentoring Groups

DIAMONDS serves female 7th-12th grade students. We meet once a month for teaching on self-worth, self-respect, encouragement towards future goals, and service to our community!

The mission and vision for this group comes out of Isaiah 62:1-4, which states, For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. The nations will see your vindication, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow. You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God. No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the Lord will take delight in you, and your land will be married.

Every woman is like a precious diamond in the crown of the King. Little by little, one person at a time, we seek to make an impact for Christ! We meet at varying locations the 1st or 3rd Fridays of each month from 6:00pm-8:30pm.

POLISHED PEARLS serves female 5th-6th grade students through a bible study titled Chosen, donated by Candy Gibbs. Anyone is welcome to attend as we do discuss appropriate topics for this age group. We encourage these girls through mentoring, helping them build current and new relationships, and strengthening their faith in God. We meet the 1st and 4th Thursdays of each month at First Street Church from 4:00pm-5:00pm.

We post invitations and announcements for each group in Dumas schools and at our center. Further information can be found on our Facebook page. Students are encouraged to bring a friend with them and participate during activities and discussions.

If you are interested in attending either of our groups, please contact our office at (806) 935-3549 to speak with a Care Net staff member.
